I’m Plum (Victoria) Bates, a CNM certified Women’s Health Coach and Reiki Master working with women online across the UK and globally.

I know what it’s like to look like you’re coping on the outside while feeling tired, overwhelmed, and disconnected on the inside.

As a mum of two, I spent years juggling motherhood, a demanding career in the corporate sector, and ongoing health challenges, including endometriosis, hormonal imbalance, and later gestational diabetes. I learned first-hand how prolonged stress, inflammation, and blood sugar imbalance can quietly drain your energy, mood, and resilience, even when you’re doing all the “right” things.

That experience taught me something important. Wellbeing isn’t about pushing harder or getting it perfect. It’s about learning how to support your body when life is full, messy, and demanding.

Over the years, I explored many different approaches to health and wellbeing. Some helped, some didn't. One of the most significant shifts came through food. Not a dramatic overhaul, but gradually understanding how what I ate was affecting my energy, hormones, and mood in ways I hadn't fully connected before. Reducing inflammation, stabilising my blood sugar, and paying closer attention to nourishment made a real difference to how I felt day to day. But it wasn't just food. Learning to manage stress differently, looking honestly at my daily habits, and understanding how my nervous system was responding to everything around me, these pieces mattered just as much. What made the biggest difference was seeing how all of it, nourishment, stress, daily habits, and nervous system support, fit together in real life, not just in theory

I’ve always been naturally intuitive, with a strong interest in wellbeing, health, and energy from a young age. I was drawn to meditation early on, and even while building a career in the corporate world, that pull towards this work never really left me.

Over time, I began using these practices to support my own nervous system, particularly through periods of stress and burnout. I also came to understand how deeply connected our lifestyle, nourishment, and energy are, and how much our external choices shape how we feel internally.

After losing my brother, I felt a deeper pull to step into this work more fully. I went on to train as both a Health Coach and Reiki Practitioner, not only to support myself, but to support others in a more meaningful way.

That journey led me to train in Health Coaching at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), combining evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle coaching with practical mindset and behaviour tools that support lasting change.

Alongside my coaching work, I also trained as a Reiki Master and Teacher in both traditional Japanese Usui and Western Reiki.
